DIG OF THE WEEK: CONOR DARDIS – PRAYING FOR A SOFT NIGHT
February 11, 2015 / /
If you find yourself driving at night down lonely roads whilst the troubles of suburban life weigh heavy on your heart, then you’ll certainly identify with our selected Dig of The Week. Conor Dardis hails from suburban Dublin and writes beautiful, illustrative music that is emotive like Bruce Springteen, yet capable of painting a narrative like Johnny Cash.
Like so many of the musical greats his countryfolk have produced, Conor’s tunes focus heavily on neighbourhood characters and local haunts, and it’s this quality that makes his music so instantly relatable. Next time you’re on the long drive home at night, throw this on the car stereo and prepare to get lost.
